Who is Joe Stu?

Joe Stu is a multi-faceted artist skilled in many disciplines. Joe Stu is a veteran emcee from Atlanta ,GA by way of the Bronx, NY who has over ten years rapping and seven years of professional experience teaching. Recently acquiring his masters degree in African American Studies, he has also shared the stage with Talib Kweli, Brand Nubian, Mobb Deep, Planet Asia and Naughty by Nature. Joe Stu’s philosophy for rap and the power of hip hop is “earn your keep everyone eats”, meaning if everyone does their part to push the culture forward we will all benefit from the work we put in.

Stu often utilizes his mc skills as a visual art educator for Atlanta public schools. Holding a masters in African-American Studies from Clark Atlanta University. His aim is to link the principles of hip hop with education in order to reach younger generations through academic mentorship.
